A number of competitions take place each
year. Currently these are:
Total weight of potatoes from 3 plants
Heaviest Pumpkin
Tallest Sunflower
In addition we judge:
The Best Plot
Best Half Plot
Best Front
Best Newcomer
We also hold an Annual Show (The Show) with
66 (2007) different
categories.
Points are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in these competitions
and the gardener with the highest total points is awarded the Ken
Bowskill Victor Ludorum Trophy.
We also enter the City of Birmingham competitions for Best Plot and
compete for the Robins Trophy which is awarded to the Best Site in
Birmingham. We won this latter competition in 1992 and 1998.
